聡明

あの日、言葉が消えた瞬間、
人は初めて自分の輪郭を知る。

多くを語るほどに、濁りは増え、
削ぎ落とした先にだけ、聡明は残る。

選ばないこともまた、選択であり、
沈黙の中にこそ、意志は宿る。

時間は教える。
足したものではなく、削ったものが
その人を形作ると。

聡明とは、賢さではない。
迷いを引き受け、なお真っすぐ進む力だ。

そして、最後に残るのは
削ぎ落とされた者だけが持つ静かな光。

On the day words disappeared,
a person first came to know
the outline of the self.

The more we speak,
the more the water clouds.
Only beyond what is stripped away
does clarity remain.
