Isamu Katayama — 縁は、残るものだ。

2018年のあの日。
店に戻ると、Itoがやけに嬉しそうに話し出した。

「全身バックラッシュの二人組が来ましたよ」

自分は不在だった。
けれど、その温度だけは、
確かに店に残っていた。

何度か届いた展示会の誘いに、
ふと足が向いた。

会場の奥で、片山さんがいた。
多くを語らず、ただそこに立っている。
その静けさに、すべてが宿っていた。

目が合った瞬間、
片山さんが、にこっと笑った。

その一瞬で、距離は消えた。

積み重ねてきた時間は、
言葉ではなく”在り方”に出る。
だから縁は、作るものではなく、
残るものになる。

好きなことを、真っすぐ続けること。
人に優しくあること。

それは飾りではない。
時間に耐える”構造”だ。

——縁とは、生き方の密度で決まる。

On that day in 2018,
when I returned to the shop,
Ito began speaking
with unusual excitement.

“Two men came in,
dressed head to toe in Backlash.”

I wasn’t there.
And yet, the heat they left behind
was still clearly in the room.

After several invitations
to the exhibition,
something in me quietly turned toward it.

There, in the back of the venue,
stood Katayama.
He said little,
simply standing there.
Within that stillness,
everything was already present.

The moment our eyes met,
Katayama gave a gentle smile.

In that single instant,
the distance disappeared.

What time accumulates
appears not in words,
but in the way one stands.
That is why connection
is not something made.
It becomes what remains.

To keep going straight
with what you love.
To live with kindness
toward others.

That is not decoration.
It is a structure
that endures time.
