— The Ethics of PAMOS. —

There is a white creature.
PAMOS.
It does nothing in particular,
nor is it particularly useful.
It simply exists.
Human concerns and measures of worth
mean nothing to it.
Or rather,
it is probably thinking about nothing at all.
And yet, there is a curious sense of space in its presence.
As we grow older, we begin to demand meaning from everything.
Results from work. Value from objects.
Efficiency from time. Even reasons from our relationships.
But perhaps life should have a place
where meaningless things are allowed
to remain meaningless—and still be loved.
To laugh at something ridiculous.
To keep something useless close.
Perhaps that is not waste at all,
but the space we need to remain human.
And so, I find myself hoping.
That no matter how old we grow,
we never fill every corner of life with correctness.
PAMOS does not speak.
And yet, in its silence,
it makes the world just a little more useless today.
And that is good.
PAMOOO.
