— STILL NO ANSWER. —

# STILL NO ANSWER.
Twenty-four years and 350 days in the clothing business.
I have learned to recognize the quality of leather and the precision of tailoring far better than I once could.
Yet I still cannot tell whether these years have been long, or whether I am only at the beginning.
When it comes to judging my own life, certainty suddenly disappears.
In 2001, I opened a small, fifteen-tsubo shop in Kanie.
Back then, I wanted success. I wanted recognition.
It was that ambition that gave me the drive to open that little store.
I have no intention of judging my younger self by the values I hold today.
These days, I take two days off a week and open from noon to six.
After all these years in business, I no longer see expansion as the only form of progress.
What to choose, what to refuse, and whom to engage with.
What matters more now is not multiplying my options, but never losing sight of why I made each choice.
The more experience I gain, the more conscious I become of the boundary between conviction and self-righteousness.
Past success does not automatically justify the next decision.
All these years prove is that I have continued.
How to measure everything beyond that, I still do not know.
Perhaps I never needed an answer in the first place.
