今日も、呪文を唱える。
神を呼んでいるのか、悪魔を欺いているのか。
その境界さえ、もはや定かではない。

二十四年以上、洋服屋を続けてきた。
嘘が先に扉を開け、正直が遠回りをする。
それでも、遠くから人が訪れ、
計算では辿り着けない縁が、今日まで続いている。

この世の因果は、人間の知る順番では現れない。
何を手に入れたかより、何を売り渡さなかったか。
その選択が、いつ、どこで、何に姿を変えるのか。
おそらく、神でさえすべては語れない。

エロイムエッサイム。
神の慈悲か、悪魔の計算違いか。
真っすぐ生きた人間から、ある日、光が漏れる。

その光の正体を、神も悪魔も知らない。

Once again today, I recite the incantation.
Am I summoning God, or deceiving the Devil?
Even the boundary between them is no longer clear.

For more than twenty-four years, I have kept a clothing shop.
Lies have opened doors while honesty has taken the longer road.
Yet people have come from afar,
and bonds beyond calculation have endured to this day.

Cause and consequence do not reveal themselves
in an order the human mind can comprehend.
What matters is not what one has acquired,
but what one has refused to surrender.
When, where, and into what those choices may transform—
perhaps not even God could tell the whole story.

Eloim Essaim.
Divine mercy, or a miscalculation by the Devil?
One day, light begins to escape
from those who have lived without bending.

Neither God nor the Devil knows the true nature of that light.
