— 遠回りの先にあった景色。 / 日本平ホテル —

6月9日、6月10日。
仲間たちと、”日本平ホテル“へ。

静岡の夜を満喫し、
いざホテルへ向かった深夜。

……まさかの山道通行止め。

回り道をして、

「本当にこの先、道ある？」
「ここ、どこ？」
「あはは、大丈夫か？」と、

獣道のような夜道を進む。

辿り着くのか。
この先に道はあるのか。

人生も、案外こんなものなのかもしれない。

真っすぐ進める日ばかりじゃない。
予定通りにいかないことの方が多い。

だからこそ、

翌朝の景色は特別だった。

ホーホケキョ。

窓の向こうに広がる、
ただ見惚れてしまう景色。

心地よいホスピタリティ。
静岡の人たちの優しさ。

そのすべてが、
この旅を、忘れられない時間へと変えてくれた。

人生は、予定通りじゃないから面白い。

遠回りしたからこそ出会える景色がある。
迷ったからこそ生まれる思い出がある。

そして時々、
その先には、想像以上の朝が待っている。

また絶対に、泊まりたい。

そう思える場所が増えていくことも、
人生の豊かさなのだと思う。

June 9 and June 10.
With good friends,
we headed to Nippondaira Hotel.

After enjoying the night in Shizuoka,
we made our way to the hotel
late at night.

Then, unexpectedly,
the mountain road was closed.

We took a detour.

“Is there really a road ahead?”
“Where are we?”
“Ahaha, are we going to be okay?”

We kept moving forward
along what felt like a wild mountain trail.

Will we make it?
Is there really a road beyond this?

Life may be
something like that.

Not every day allows us
to move straight ahead.

More often than not,
things do not go as planned.

That is why
the view the next morning
felt so special.

Ho-ho-kekyo.

Beyond the window,
a view so beautiful
we could only stand and stare.

The comfortable hospitality.
The kindness of the people in Shizuoka.

All of it turned this journey
into an unforgettable time.

Life is interesting
because it never goes exactly as planned.

There are views
you can only meet
after taking the long way around.

There are memories
born only because
we once got lost.

And sometimes,
beyond that road,
a morning greater than imagined
is waiting.

I definitely want to stay there again.

To have more places
that make me feel that way
is, I believe,
one of life’s quiet riches.
