受け取った時より、美しくして返す。
物の話だけではない。
時間も、言葉も、信頼も、
人から預かったものには、
その人の心が宿っている。
だから、
そのまま返せばいいとは思わない。
少し磨く。
少し整える。
少しだけ、心を添える。
誰かに褒められるためではない。
見返りを求めるためでもない。
誰も見ていないところで、
何を返せるか。
そこに、その人の矜持が現れる。
品とは、身につけるものではなく、
こうした小さな所作の堆積なのだと思う。
受け取った以上のものを、返す。
それが、
真っすぐ生きるということ。
When you borrow something,
return it better than you received it.

Time, words, trust—
whatever another person entrusts to you
carries something of their heart.
That is why
