沈黙は、何も語らないことではない。
それは削った結果だ。
では、なぜ削るのか。

足すことは、簡単だ。

装飾を増やす。
機能を足す。
言葉を重ねる。

増やせば、
満足感は出る。

だがそれは、
密度ではない。

削るという行為は、
勇気がいる。

削れば、
言い訳が消える。

削れば、
誤魔化しが効かなくなる。

削れば、
構造が露わになる。

だから削る。

美しく見せるためではない。

本質を残すためだ。

削らなければ、
輪郭は曖昧になる。

削らなければ、
重心は定まらない。

削らなければ、
思想は濁る。

多くのものは、
足し算で作られる。

だが、
強いものは引き算で残る。

削るとは、
否定ではない。

選択だ。

これは要らない。
これは違う。
これは濁る。

そう言い続けることだ。

削るたびに、
数は減る。

分かる人も減る。

だが、
残る人は濃くなる。

削るとは、
理解者を増やす行為ではない。

理解者を深くする行為だ。

市場は、
常に足すことを求める。

新しさ。
派手さ。
分かりやすさ。

だが削ると、
静かになる。

静かになると、
軽い人は離れる。

それでいい。

削るとは、
迎合しないということだ。

削るとは、
時間に耐える形を探すことだ。

削るとは、
自分を疑い続けることだ。

これで十分か。
まだ余計ではないか。

その問いを、
止めないことだ。

完成とは、
足し終えた状態ではない。

削りきった状態だ。

削った先に、
沈黙がある。

削った先に、
密度がある。

削った先に、
黒がある。

削るから、
終わらない。

削るから、
残る。

我々が削るのは、
売るためではない。

残すためだ。

そして残ったものだけが、
強さを持つ。

削り続けたとき、
他と並ぶことはできるのか。
それでも比較は必要なのか。

Adding is easy.

More decoration.
More features.
More words.

Add enough,
and you get the feeling of “satisfaction.”

But that
is not density.

Cutting takes courage.

When you cut,
excuses disappear.

When you cut,
you can no longer fake it.

When you cut,
the structure is exposed.

That is why we cut.

Not to look beautiful.

To leave the essence.

Without cutting,
the outline blurs.

Without cutting,
the center of gravity won’t settle.

Without cutting,
the philosophy turns cloudy.

Most things
are built by addition.

But strong things
remain by subtraction.

Cutting is not negation.

It is choice.

This is unnecessary.
This is wrong.
This makes it muddy.

To keep saying that—
again and again.

Each time you cut,
the numbers shrink.

The people who “get it” may shrink too.

But those who remain
grow denser.

Cutting is not an act
to increase understanding.

It is an act
to deepen it.

The market
always asks you to add.

Newness.
Flash.
Easy-to-understand.

But when you cut,
it becomes quiet.

And when it becomes quiet,
the light ones leave.

That’s fine.

To cut
is to refuse to flatter.

To cut
is to search for a form
that can endure time.

To cut
is to keep doubting yourself.

Is this enough?
Is there still excess?

Never stop that question.

Completion is not
the state of having added everything.

It is the state
of having cut everything you can.

Beyond cutting,
there is silence.

Beyond cutting,
there is density.

Beyond cutting,
there is black.

Because we cut,
it never ends.

Because we cut,
it remains.

We do not cut
to sell.

We cut
to leave something behind.

And only what remains
earns the right
to be strong.
