思考に空気が戻った日 ーThe Day Air Returned to Thoughtー

15年前、タバコをやめた日、
世界の空気が切り替わった。
肺ではなく、
思考に酸素が回り始めた。

余白が生まれ、
暇が生まれ、
時間が剥き出しになった。

その手もちぶたさが、
逃げ場を失った衝動が、
書くという行為を呼び寄せた。

ブログは娯楽ではなかった。
沈黙を言語化する
必然の装置だった。

あの日が、
いまのAlto e Dirittoへ
直結している。

百害あって一利なし。
だから今日も、
泉の街でゴミを拾う。

落ちているタバコは、
過去の習慣の残骸だ。

それを拾うたび、
俺は運を回収している。

社会貢献とは、
大義ではない。
日常を裏切らない
反復のことだ。

Thirteen years ago,
the day I quit smoking,
the air of the world switched.
Not in my lungs—
oxygen began to reach my mind.

Margins appeared.
Boredom appeared.
Time stood bare.

That fidgeting emptiness,
that impulse with no escape,
summoned the act of writing.

The blog was never entertainment.
It was an inevitable device
to translate silence into words.

That day runs straight
into the Alto e Diritto
that exists now.

A hundred harms,
not a single benefit.
So even today,
I pick up trash
in the streets of Izumi.

The cigarettes on the ground
are the remains of an old habit.

Each time I lift one,
I retrieve my luck.

Social contribution
is not a grand cause.
It is repetition—
a daily act
that never betrays the ordinary.
