店を始めて、
まだ数か月。

昼は店に立ち、
夜になると、
誰も教えてくれないHTMLと、
毎日のように向き合っていた。

一枚の画像を載せるだけでも、
思うようにはいかない。

何度もやり直し、
少しずつ形になっていく
小さなWEBショップ。

ようやく並べられたのは、
ZODIAC HARD WEAR。

ライオンのマークを付けた、
Tシャツ、
メッシュキャップ、
スウェット、
ステッカー、
缶バッジ。

一つひとつ、
自分で写真を撮り、
自分の手で載せた。

そして、ある日。

遠い県のお客様から、
一件の注文が届いた。

たしか、
メッシュキャップだった記憶。

愛知の片田舎、
十五坪の小さな店で作ったものを、
まだ一度も会ったことのない誰かが
選んでくれた。

どうして見つけてくれたのか。

どうして信じてくれたのか。

二十四年が過ぎた今も、
その答えだけは分からない。

もし、
あの日注文してくださった方と
いつか会える日があるなら、

伝えたい言葉は、
ひとつしかない。

初めて信じさせてくれました。

Just a few months
after opening the shop.

By day,
I stood behind the counter.

By night,
I sat in front of a screen,
teaching myself HTML
that no one else could teach.

Even uploading
a single image
felt like a challenge.

Countless revisions.

Countless late nights.

Little by little,
a small online store
began to take shape.

Finally,
ZODIAC HARD WEAR
was ready.

T-shirts.

Mesh caps.

Sweatshirts.

Stickers.

Pins.

Every photograph
was taken by hand.

Every page
was built by hand.

Then one day,

an order arrived.

From someone
living far away.

If memory serves,
it was the mesh cap.

Something created
in a fifteen-square-meter shop
in the quiet town of Kanie, Aichi,

was chosen
by someone
I had never met.

Why did they find us?

Why did they trust us?

Even twenty-four years later,

I still don’t know
the answer.

If I ever have the chance
to meet the person
who placed that order,

there is only
one thing
I want to say.
