20歳。

夢は決まっていた。

洋服屋になること。

でも、
夢を語るだけでは、
夢には近づけない。

だから働いた。

夢を叶えるために、
働いた。

あの頃は、
これしか稼ぐ方法を知らなかった。

大型免許を取り、
朝4時に起き、
夜明け前の道を走る。

もっと夢へ近づくために、
けん引免許を取り、
トレーラーにも乗った。

30kgの米。

20kgのセメント。

何百、何千という荷物を積み、
汗で服を濡らし、
今日も明日も走り続けた。

あの頃は、
荷物を運んでいたわけじゃない。

夢を諦めない理由を、
毎日運んでいた。

仕事は、
好きだから頑張れるものじゃない。

夢があるから、
目の前の仕事を、
誰にも負けないぐらい真っすぐやる。

その積み重ねだけが、
未来を静かに動かしていく。

トラック人生、六年。

長かったとは思わない。

必要だった時間だと思う。

もし、
あの六年間を飛ばしていたら、

今のAlto e Dirittoは、
きっと存在していない。

人生に、
無駄な仕事はない。

あるのは、
夢と切り離して働く時間だけだ。

あの日、
運んでいたのは荷物じゃない。

誰にも見えていなかった、
未来の人生だった。

20 years old.

The dream was already decided.

To open a clothing store.

But simply speaking of a dream
does not bring you closer to it.

So I worked.

I worked
to make that dream real.

Back then,
it was the only way I knew
to earn money.

I got a large vehicle license,
woke up at 4 a.m.,
and drove before daybreak.

To move closer to the dream,
I got a towing license
and started driving trailers.

30-kilogram bags of rice.

20-kilogram bags of cement.

Hundreds.
Thousands.

I loaded them by hand,
soaked my clothes in sweat,
and kept driving,
day after day.

Back then,
I was not simply carrying cargo.

Every day,
I was carrying the reason
not to give up on my dream.

Work is not something
you can do your best at
just because you love it.

Because there is a dream,
you face the work in front of you
straighter than anyone else.

That accumulation
quietly moves the future.

Six years of truck life.

I do not think it was long.

I think it was necessary.

If those six years
had been skipped,

Alto e Diritto
would surely not exist today.

There is no meaningless work
in life.

There is only time spent working
disconnected from your dream.

That day,
what was being carried
was not cargo.

It was a future life
that no one could yet see.
