Californication.

デニムを起点に、現代のメンズウェアを探求する新たなブランド。
素材、シルエット、佇まい。ヴィンテージや過去のアーカイブを参照しながら、
そのまま再現するのではなく、現在の身体、現在のスタイリング、現在の空気へと再構築する。

既存の様式やカテゴリーにとらわれず、日常に自然と馴染みながら、
確かな存在感を持つ服をつくる。
その始まりに選んだのが、DENIM.
そして、その最初のデニムを、Alto e Diritto × Californication のダブルネームで製作した。

先染めの BLACK DENIM を、さらにBLACKでオーバーダイ。
13ozのセルビッジストレッチデニムに、赤耳、リベット、ボタン、ファスナー、
レザーパッチまで、すべてをBLACKで統一した。

クラシックな5ポケットデニムの構造を残しながら、
ヴィンテージに見られる縫製やディテールへ、現在の素材、穿き心地、シルエットを重ねる。
過去を、そのまま着るためではない。
過去にある技術や背景を、現在のデニムへ置き換えるために。

Californication.

A new brand exploring contemporary menswear through denim.
Material, silhouette, presence. Drawing from vintage pieces and past archives,
not to reproduce them, but to reinterpret them for the body, styling, and atmosphere of today.

Free from established conventions and categories, Californication creates clothes that settle naturally into everyday life
while carrying a distinct presence.
It begins with DENIM.
And its first denim collection is created together with Alto e Diritto × Californication.

Yarn-dyed BLACK DENIM, overdyed once again in BLACK.
13oz selvedge stretch denim, with red-line selvedge, rivets, buttons, zippers,
and leather patches unified entirely in BLACK.

The classic five-pocket construction remains,
while vintage-inspired sewing and details are combined with contemporary materials, comfort, and silhouettes.
Not to reproduce the past.
But to translate its techniques and background into denim for the present.
