“10年後も残したい物。”

そんな問いを綴った後、
ご注文の際に、
静かに添えられた言葉があった。

2021年に購入した、
ENZO BONAFE EB-13。

ミュージアムカーフ。
ニューゴールド。
ノルベジェーゼ仕様。

5年という時間を共に過ごし、
今では自分のアイコン的なブーツに
育ったということ。

いつか10年目、
15年目と育ったそのブーツを履いて、
また店に行きたいということ。

その言葉が、
胸の奥に深く残った。

新品の美しさは、
誰にでもわかる。

だが本当に心を動かすのは、
時間を通り抜けた物だけが持つ美しさだ。

履き込まれた革。

刻まれた皺。

少しずつ深くなった艶。

そこには、
持ち主だけが知る時間が宿っている。

良い物とは、
長く使える物ではない。

長く残したくなる物だ。

そして、

10年後も残したい物とは、
物そのものではない。

その物を通して、
人と人がもう一度会える理由である。

10年後。

育ったそのブーツと共に、
また笑いながらお会いできたら嬉しい。

洋服屋とは、
物を売る仕事ではない。

人と時間を繋ぐ仕事なのだと思う。

After writing that question,
there was a quiet message
attached to an order.

Purchased in 2021,
ENZO BONAFE EB-13.

Museum calf.
New Gold.
Norvegese construction.

Five years have passed together,
and now those boots have grown into
something like a personal icon.

Someday,
after ten years,
after fifteen years,

I hope they will come back to the store,
worn in even deeper.

Those words stayed
deep inside my chest.

The beauty of something new
is easy to understand.

But what truly moves the heart
is the beauty only time can create.

Worn leather.

Carved creases.

A depth of shine
that grows little by little.

Inside it lives
a time known only to its owner.

A good thing is not simply
something that lasts long.

It is something
you want to keep for a long time.

And so,

what I want to keep ten years from now
is not the object itself.

It is the reason
people can meet again
through that object.

Ten years from now.

I would be happy
to meet again with a smile,

together with those boots,
grown deeper by time.

Being a clothier
is not about selling things.

It is about connecting
people and time.
