先日、
そんな問いを投げかけた。
沢山の答えをいただいた。
本当にありがとうございました。
もちろん、
どの答えも嬉しかった。
だが、
その中で何度も胸が熱くなった言葉がある。
それは、
「10年後、このライダースを着てアルトエデリットに行くのが楽しみです。」
という言葉だった。
ライダースが嬉しかったわけじゃない。
ブランドが評価されたことが嬉しかったわけでもない。
もっと違う。
10年後。
まだお互い元気で。
同じ服を着て。
同じ場所で。
「久しぶりです。」
と笑っている景色を想像してくれたこと。
それが嬉しかった。
洋服屋を始めて24年以上。
沢山の出会いがあった。
沢山の別れもあった。
だからこそ思う。
本当に残るのは、
服だけじゃない。
時計だけでもない。
革でもない。
人と人との時間だ。
10年後も。
20年後も。
そのライダースに皺が増えた頃、
またこの場所で会えたら嬉しい。
Alto e Diritto が残したいのは、
物だけではない。
そんな未来の約束なのかもしれない。
10年後も、
ここで会おう。
その言葉だけで、
洋服屋を続けてきて良かったと思えた。

The other day,
I asked a simple question.
“What is one thing you would still want to keep ten years from now?”
We received many answers.
Thank you, truly.
Every answer meant something to me.
But among them,
there was one phrase that moved me deeply.
“I look forward to visiting Alto e Diritto ten years from now, wearing this rider’s jacket.”
It was not simply the rider’s jacket that made me happy.
It was not that the brand had been praised.
It was something deeper.
Ten years from now.
Both of us still well.
Wearing the same piece.
Standing in the same place.
Opening the door with a smile,
saying,
“It’s been a while.”
The fact that someone imagined that future—
that is what touched me.
More than 24 years have passed since I began my life as a clothier.
There have been many encounters.
And many farewells.
That is why I feel this now.
What truly remains
is not only clothing.
Not only watches.
Not only leather.
It is the time shared between people.
Ten years from now.
Twenty years from now.
When that rider’s jacket has gained more creases,
I would be happy
to meet again in this place.
What Alto e Diritto wants to leave behind
is not only objects.
Perhaps it is
a promise for the future.
Ten years from now,
let us meet here again.
Those words alone
made me feel
that continuing this life as a clothier
was truly worth it.
